Trevor Stines

Trevor Stines was born and raised in Olympia, WA, but has since had the opportunity to travel the world, meeting diverse peoples and friends. That’s his favorite part about traveling: establishing these lasting relationships with people you never would have met otherwise.

 

Stines has spent his life relentlessly pursuing creativity, from writing a musical to publishing a book, and acting has always been his main passion in life. He performed in his first play in 6th grade, acting in the role of Lysander in Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream and developing a deep love and appreciation for the stage.

 

Since moving to LA, he has become known most for his role as Jason Blossom on Riverdale, and has enjoyed his work in various film and television projects. Performance and self-expression are integral parts of who Trevor is, and he will continue to pursue those dreams for as long as he can.

 

Here are some questions we asked Trevor so that you could get a better feel for his personality:

Who is your biggest inspiration in the TV/Film industry?
Oh, I have so many: Robin Williams,  Jim Carrey, Denzel Washington, Bryan Cranston, Robert Downey Jr., James Spader - to name a few! They have such amazing range, and a keen talent for both subtlety and blatantly showcasing powerful emotions. It's not hard for these people to impress me!

What is your favorite movie/TV show?
Right now, my favorite TV show has got to be Parks and Recreation. I think the characters and relationships are casted and executed so cleverly, and it makes me laugh like no tomorrow; I just finished the 5th season!

I'm not sure if I could pick a favorite movie, but one I love that comes to mind is Midnight in Paris. I just think it's beautifully shot, and all the performances in it are thoroughly entertaining. That's a movie that will always be special to me.

Who is your favorite superhero?
I don't think that's a fair question to ask- I'm a total comic book geek! I grew up absolutely loving Spider-Man, and still do. His character embodies a selflessness that humbles and inspires me. And of course there's Batman, because who doesn't love Batman?
