Edouard hails from Paris, France where he studied at both the Sorbonne University and the International Academy of Musical Theater. A trained singer, dancer and actor, he went on to work professionally in the UK, in shows such as Mamma Mia, We Will Rock You and other touring companies. He then moved to New York City, inspired by the lights of Broadway, performing in Newsies, Nice Work If You Can Get It, and Earthquake as well as dance pieces and cabarets.  While performing, he was scouted by his current manager, whose encouragement led to working on film sets on and off camera, putting him on the path to Los Angeles in pursuit of a career in TV and film.  

 

Why did you want to become an actor?

Well, I chose to be an actor because I believe that actors have a very direct platform to influence an audience, touch lives and start conversations through storytelling. As actors, we have the privilege of bringing to life relatable truths, social issues, injustices, and different perspectives of the same story.  

 

And of course, I love that I get to embody so many different characters.  It’s really both a challenge and a thrill.  It’s like reincarnating into 1000 lives, living their experiences and emotions all in the span of my own.  

 

Who is your biggest inspiration in the industry?

Ah. So many.  Colin Firth, Natalie Portman, John Lithgow, Julianne Moore. And then Tim Burton, Akira Kurosawa, Shonda Rhimes and Thomas Newman...

 

 

What's your favorite movie?

The Pianist. It is just a masterful movie that I relate to because my grandfather was a French-German Jew who survived the Holocaust, and the struggles of the main character echo his stories.
